Our services

Grounded OT specialises in assessment and support for preschool and primary aged tamariki. We provide assessment of sensory processing and motor-skills and the interface these have with social-emotional capacities.

We offer a lens to understand strengths and differences that may contribute to a child's ability to engage and participate in activities that they need and want to take part in. This includes understanding: stage-appropriate regulatory capacities, safe and authentic relating and communicating capacities, movement based skills (for example balance or ball skills through to handwriting skills) as well as self-care tasks and following daily routines.

We understand that barriers to engagement and participation are multi-factorial and often interwoven. We consider all aspects contributing to well-being including our physical, emotional, mental, wairua, whānau and social wellbeing, as well as our relationship to the natural world.
